Richard Bywater DipPFS
Richard has been a Financial Adviser for almost 25 years.
Richard’s first job was working for Nat West International in Birmingham City Centre back in 1987. After an initial career within the banking sector Richard moved on to financial planning.
Many of Richard’s clients have been with him since the early days of his career because they trust his friendly, down-to-earth approach to understanding client objectives, explaining financial options and delivering appropriate solutions.
This trust has developed through the building of close personal and business relationships and by the provision of a service aimed at doing the right thing for his clients.
Richard worked for Woolwich Independent Financial Advisery service for a couple of years followed by a financial planning role with Bradford & Bingley.
In 1998 Richard was offered a position working for a local firm of independent financial advisers and independent insurance brokers, who were Annans of Wolverhampton. After 3 years service he was offered the position of Director of the financial services department which he gladly accepted and held for a further 3 years.
At that time he felt it was right to run his own business which he started with his Wife in 2004. Richard then spent 10 years at English Mutual (now Sanlam) with his Wife, Nicola, establishing a successful business in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
The success of their business was due to the integrity, ethics and passion Nicola & Richard have in looking after and providing financial advice to their clients and professional connections.
Richard and Nicola wanted to continue building their business in keeping with their values and desire of continuing to provide advice focusing on an ongoing personal service tailored to each client based on their individual objectives and needs and so it was a natural fit to join Bespoke-Advice Limited when English Mutual rebranded as Sanlam.
Richard is qualified to Diploma Level (with the Chartered Insurance Institute & Personal Finance Society) and is currently on track to becoming a Chartered Financial Adviser.
He is s qualified to provide investment, pension and protection advice and specialises in advice in relation to investments and inheritance tax planning and care fees planning.
Richard carefully guides and helps many clients and their families through the complex and emotional subject of establishing care packages which are relevant to individual clients needs to ensure that their needs are met both now and in the long term in line with clients specific objectives.
Richard and Nicola live in Sutton Coldfield with their two sons, Daniel and Sam.
