Richard Coggins DipPFS
Richard has been a financial adviser for over 30 years.
After graduating with an honours degree in Agricultural Economics at Aberystwyth University, Richard continued his studies for a further 2 years working on research involving economic modelling and forecasting. This has been of enormous value in analysing markets and portfolios for investment clients over some very turbulent and varied economic conditions.
After 2 years in industry, Richard started his financial career with Target Life before setting up his own financial advice business in Hereford, and from 1986, in Malvern. He subsequently joined English Mutual in Worcester in 2005 and Bespoke Advice in January 2015.
Richard has been a registered pension specialist since February 1999 and apart from advising his own clients, has provided a consultancy service for other advisers and firms where they have not had the relevant qualifications or experience. He has pension qualifications from both the Chartered Insurance Institute, (CII), and the Chartered Institute of Banking.
Apart from his knowledge of pensions and investments, Richard also provides advice on tax planning, mortgages and protection with qualifications from the Institute of Financial Services as well as the CII.
Richard aims to build long term relationships with clients and still has many from his early years as an adviser. In some cases he is now advising the third generation of the families.
Richard lives near Ledbury and spends his spare time looking after a large garden. He is also a keen fly fisherman with a love for walking and skiing in the Alps.
