I was first introduced to Richard about 5 years ago when exploring what financial advisors to recommend to clients who maybe were not used to looking at planning and investment issues due to an unexpected inheritance, or windfall. From the outset I was impressed with his no nonsense, down to earth approach which met clients at their own level of understanding without being patronising or condescending. His way of explaining sometimes complex ideas in a clear way as well as his genuine charm and interest in the individuals he advised was one of the first things that struck me. Also his willingness to recommend products and investments that genuinely were the best for the individual concerned, depending on all their circumstances – even when there was nothing in it for him! Richard has since also become advisor to me and my husband and I am pleased to also class him as a friend.
